The New Mexico Osteopathic Political Action Committee (NMOPAC) is a PAC operating as an affiliated political action committee of the New Mexico Osteopathic Medical Association (NMOMA).
As an osteopathic advocate, your time and resources are limited. The NMOPAC is an organization which supports the osteopathic profession throughout New Mexico. Through grass roots efforts, the NMOPAC will lead and direct efforts to elect and re-elect pro-physician candidates to the New Mexico legislature, provide lobbying efforts for pro-physician legislation and support and promote osteopathic medicine in our great state.
The future of Osteopathic medicine is important to us all and with your contributions and support NMOPAC's will work directly in the legislative process to uphold the principles and beliefs to which osteopathic medicine is devoted. We are committed to renew our efforts at the "round house" and statewide to promote the profession of osteopathic medicine and the osteopathic medical students who represent the future of our profession.
Currently, your NMOPAC Bureau Members are: Scott Cyrus, DO, Chair Kristen Reidy, DO, Vice Chair Ralph McClish, NMOMA Executive Director, Secretary/Treasurer George Mychaskiw, DO John Cruickshank, DO
NMOPAC's political activities are funded by the voluntary contributions from osteopathic physicians, osteopathic medical students and advocates of the profession. Your personal contributions are given to individuals of the New Mexico legislature up for re-election, leadership offices or supporting our efforts to monitor the political landscape. Contributions at every level are vital to NMOPAC’s success. Even the smallest monetary contribution adds to and supports the growing efforts of the osteopathic physicians standing up for our profession. Members of NMOPAC are instrumental to ensuring we have both the funds and the physician force to be effective in the ever so important political arena. Donors are encouraged to make contributions by personal check or personal credit card.
As the NMOPAC Bureau Chair, I'm confident you will join the efforts to promote and support the osteopathic profession statewide, to provide a future for our students and enhance the lives of the people in this the "Land of Enchantment".
Professionally your, Scott Cyrus, DO NMOPAC Bureau Chair
